Journal Over Multatuli (= On Multatuli)

Apart from running the Multatuli Museum, the Multatuli Society also has a journal, Over Multatuli. Members of the Multatuli Society receive this review free of charge, though it can also be ordered directly from the publisher.
Multatuli website

The Multatuli website was produced by the Digital Production Centre (DPC) for the Multatuli Society. Reactions are welcome at the Multatuli Museum, e-mail: multatulimuseum@zonnet.nl.
Plans are underway to develop an electronic catalogue for the documentation centre. If permission is granted, the Volledige Werken (= Complete Works) will also become available via internet.
Meetings

The annual meeting of the Multatuli Society takes place on the Saturday closest to Multatuli's birthday on 2nd March. This conference consists of a business meeting at which the annual accounts are discussed and in which the executive committee gives account about its activities of the previous year. The second part is a lecture on the life and/or works of Multatuli, followed by animated discussions.
The autumn meeting, which usually takes place in the third weekend of October, consists of some business announcements and a lecture, again followed by discussion.
Multatuli Essay Award

Every second year the Multatuli Society confers the Biannual Multatuli Essay Award on the scholar who has published (in print) the most striking contribution to the study of Multatuli in the two years leading up to the presentation.
In 1997 the award went to Chantal Keijsper for her contribution to K. ter Laan's Multatuli-encyclopedie. In 1999 the award was not presented since there were not enough entries. In 2001 Tom Phijffer won the prize for his book Het gelijk van Multatuli.
